A Vancouver Island man is suing the B.C. Lottery Corporation because the company denied him a $42,500 jackpot on the grounds he's a registered problem gambler. The problem lies in that why he is allowed to go and Gamble in the first place. If he has a record for all his losses after the point he registered with the Lottery Corporation does that mean they would be more than willing to refund his money he lost. The kicker is from the article it sounds like he won and they have paid him out before without any qualms. Now that he has one a good one they want to deny him that win. If BCLC can have their cake and eat it too...can I have a piece? B.C. Lottery Corp. only one fined for breaking rules Agency hit with $670,000 penalty over transaction reporting lapses

The B.C. Lottery Corp. is the only provincial gaming agency to be fined for violating the rules for reporting suspicious or large transactions, an official with the federal regulator said Wednesday.

Blaine Harvey, of the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada, would not comment directly on the $670,000 in penalties charged to the BCLC for more than 1,000 violations under the federal Proceeds of Crime Act.

And then there is the Maple Ridge Man

He has been waiting almost two weeks to recieve his money he won playing Bingo on PlayNow. Usually it takes a day but he won just before the launch of the new website. First he was told it was transferred to his bank account. After a week it never showed. After a few phone calls he was told it would be mailed to him as a check. It never showed. Then a few more calls and it would be put in his account on-line right away. If ti does not show up by the end of the week give us a call the PlayNow people said. Well this is the end of the week and it is not shown up. And the amazing amount they are unable to payout at this time? $90.00 on a $100.00 Bingo win. I have to \wonder how many non-payouts they have going on right now and for what amounts. Also how much did they spend on that web site that has been down since it started. $100,000, $200,000, $500,000?
